How to set Take-Profit (TP) and Stop-Loss (SL) orders?
This functionality allows you to set a price easily at which you wish your entire position to be automatically closed. You can choose to set either a TP order or a SL order or both at the same time. Once the Last Traded Price hits your TP / SL price, a market order will be sent out by the system to close your position.Note: If you set both a TP order and a SL order and either one is triggered, the opposite one will be automatically cancelled.
How to set TP / SL orders?
After opening a position, click on the button to set your TP / SL as below screen:

Once confirmed, you will see your TP/SL order under the “Open positions” sections:

The TP/SL orders can also be viewed under the “Conditional orders” tab:

How to cancel your TP / SL ?
There are two ways of doing this:
1) Under “Open Positions” tab, click on the button and use the toggle to deactivate your TP / SL.

Once confirmed, your changes to TP / SL is immediately taken into account:

2) You can also cancel your SL / TP from the “Conditional Orders” tab and use the “Cancel” Action.

Introduction to AAX auto-margin addition feature
H1 What is Auto-margin?
Auto-margin is a toggle in AAX Futures trading that automatically adds margin to your position to avoid liquidation.
If enabled, the system will automatically pull funds from your futures account balance when your position reaches the liquidation price. This brings your position back to the initial margin rate.
If the available balance in your futures account is insufficient, the system will first cancel your open order to make funds available. Then, the system will use the available funds and fill your margin position near the mark price.
The auto-margin feature is turned off by default. Users can turn on the “Auto Margin” mode under the "Position" section.
Web:

App:

H2 What is the formula for auto-margin?
When the account balance is sufficient, the amount automatically added each time is called the initial margin of the position:
USDT settled contract initial margin = (open position amount*open price) * contract size (1/leverage + maker fees rate)
BTC settled contract initial margin = (open position amount/open price) * (1/leverage + maker fees rate)
Calculation for auto-margin:
The first additional amount = Initial position margin amount
The second additional amount = Initial position margin amount * 2
The third additional amount = Initial position margin amount * 4
The nth additional amount = Initial position margin amount * 2^ (N-1)
When the account balance is insufficient, the amount automatically added each time may be added to the position margin or failed to add according to the account amount.
When the system calculates that it will still trigger the liquidation after adding the margin amount, in order to definitely reduce the users asset loss, auto-margin addition will be waived.
After the auto-margin addition, the new liquidation price calculation formula is:
- Long position liquidation price = [Average position price *(1+ Maintenance margin rate) - (Position margin + Automatically-covered margin) / |position|*contract size] / (1-maker fees rate)
- Short Position Liquidation Price = [Average position price *(1- Maintenance Margin Rate) + (Position margin + Automatically-covered margin) / |position|*contract size] / (1+maker fees rate)
H3 Sample situation on how auto-margin feature works
User A opens 5,000 contract for BTCUSDTFP perpetual contract at the price of 18,000 USDT with 10x leverage.
The estimated liquidation price is 16,288.98 USDT and the available balance in his contract account is 1,000 USDT.
When placing the order, the user switches on “Auto-margin”.
If the mark price drops to 16,288.98 USDT, i.e. reaching the liquidation price, the system executes auto-margin to avoid liquidation.
Based on the formula discussed earlier, the added margin amount shall be 764.56 USDT. After the margin addition, the liquidation price will be lowered to 14,758.93 USDT to avoid the liquidation of the users position.
If the fair price continues to fall to 14,758.93 USDT, the auto-margin feature will be re-enabled. By that time, the available balance of the user is only 235.44 USDT. If the margin addition amount is less than the calculated amount, it will be added normally. If not, all the remaining balance of 235.44 USDT will be added as margin and the liquidation price will be calculated accordingly.
H4 Important notes:
- When liquidation is triggered, the system will first cancel all unfulfilled active orders in the account to free up funds and use this to avoid liquidation.
- When the auto-margin addition feature is enabled, the lowest leverage the position will go is limited to 1x. More margin will not be added when a position is already at 1x leverage, even if there is excess available margin.
- The margin cannot be automatically added when the users trade with the contract bonus.
- Once the auto-margin addition feature is enabled, your futures account balance will be used in fulfilling the auto-margin every time your position is close to the liquidation price. The balance of spot, fiat, and savings accounts will not be affected.
- Once the auto-margin addition feature is enabled, if you set a stop loss, you may stop the loss and close the position after the margin addition. In order to avoid unnecessary losses, please exercise caution.

How commission rebates are calculated?
Futures volume counts 1.5 times to that of Spot, clients rebate is counted by summing up the total trade volumn of both according to relavant tiers.Rebate calculating example
For example

1. Turnover = 1 (Spot) + 9 (Futures 6*1.5X) = 10 mil USD ;
2. which belongs to the tier of 0.05% Makers fee;
3. Rebate = Return per trade commission * (1-0.05/0.06) for all maker trades
4. Rebate = Return per trade commission * (1-0.08/0.10) for all taker trades
5. Aggregate all commission rebate, make a rebate per currency
How to use AAX’s futures calculator?
AAX Calculator allows futures traders to use position information (position margin, leverage, average entry/exit price and contract quantity) to calculate Expected PnL, Closing Price, and Liquidation Price. This allows traders to better understand their trading goals and also manage their position better.Instructions:
Step 1: Locate AAX Calculator on the top right of the Order:

Step 2: Using the Calculator, you may select for calculations either
(1) Expected PnL
(2) Closing Price
(3) Liquidation Price

* Notes that trading fees and funding fees are not included in the calculations
Example 1
Expected PnL calculation: Calculating position profit and loss (excluding fees)
Traders can calculate the Margin, Profit/Loss, Profit/Loss% and Returns of Equity (ROE) by inputting the Leverage, Amount of Contracts, Open Price and Closing Price.
Margin: The required order cost when opening position
PnL: Profit and loss of the position that excludes fees
Formula: Amount of Contract (1/open price - 1/closing price)
Returns of Equity (ROE): Ratio of return on assets to initial margin used in the position
Formula: PL / Initial Margin
Traders can enter the following value to calculate the required Margin, Profit/Loss, and Returns of Equity (ROE)
Example: Buy Long, Leverage: 10 x, Qty: 200, Entry Price: $7,000, and Close Price: $8,000
For conveniences sake, traders can also see the size of the position and open price for the current contract type.

Example 2
Closing Price: Calculate the target price when the position reaches the specified rate of ROE % (excluding fees)
Example: Buy Long, 5 x, Open Price: $7,000, ROE %: 20
Entering the value above, we can calculate that for the position to reach a 20% ROE, the targeted take profit/exit price has to be set at around 7292 USD.
Similarly, traders can refer to the bottom part of the calculator window.

Example 3
Liquidation Price: Calculating the liquidation price while being on cross margin mode
Example: Buy Long, Leverage: 10 x, Qty: 1000, Entry Price: $7,000
Entering the set of value in the calculator below shows the Liquidation Price as $6392.50

What are Limit TP/SL Orders (Strategy Order)
When placing a futures trading order, you will be able to set the [Take Profit] and [Stop Loss] orders simultaneously.Select [Leverage], select [Order Type], enter [Price] and [Amount]. Then, check the box next to [Stop Limit] to set the [Take Profit] and [Stop Loss] prices based on the [Last Price] or [Mark Price]. Next, click [Buy/Long] or [Sell/Short] to place the order.

You can check your orders under the [Open Orders] tab.
Click [Check] under [Stop Limit] to view order details.
TP/SL price can not be modified under the [Open Orders] tab. If you want to modify it, please cancel the order and place a new order.

When an pending order is triggered, you can add or modify the TP/SL under the [Positions] tab. This will be applied to the entire position.
After closing the position, the TP/SL will be automatically canceled.

Can I set multiple TP/SL for my orders?
1) If there is a floating position order with a TP/SL setting, the order will be filled with the TP/SL of the floating position order.
2) If there is no floating position order with TP/SL setting, the TP/SL of the first filled order will be used to take profit or stop loss for all your positions. Other TP/SL will be automatically canceled when the order is created.
For example, you placed 2 pending orders with different TP/SL prices. Order B is filled first, Order A is filled 10 minutes later, then the TP/SL of Order A will be automatically canceled at the time it’s been filled. Therefore the current position (combined No.A and B pending orders) has the TP/SL coming from Order No.B.
